These policies apply to online orders only. Please contact our store for store policies that apply to purchases made in our store.
You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms as we cannot accept returns on ammunition - there are no exceptions to this. Check your local laws for any other regulations.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 10 business days of the receipt of the product (online purchases only). If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product. A 25% restocking fee will be assessed to all online orders that are cancelled that are requested as an item(s) to be sent to our storefront from our warehouse.
As soon as you place your order, our warehouse is notified to pick your item for shipment and send it to us. We cannot stop this shipment. Sorry no exceptions as we are stuck with your item that you ordered. A 25% open box/package will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging. Any parts that have been installed, or attempted to install, cannot be returned.
FIREARMS & SERIALIZED PARTS - a special order may only be canceled or changed to a different item before shipping from the warehouse facility. Any change to the order after shipment from the distribution warehouse, but prior to taking delivery of the item will incur a 15% restocking fee and you will be assessed the shipping charge to return it to our warehouse if we do not normally stock the item. This is solely at McDermott Tactical discretion. There are absolutely no returns for refund or credit on serialized parts and firearms once you have completed the ATF paperwork and taken delivery of the item(s). We will assist you in repairs/malfunctions if there is an issue with the item and even help return it to the manufacturer if that is necessary.
Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products: (1) Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications. (2) Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt. (3) NFA items that require ATF Transfer after the start of paperwork. (4) Ammunition, illumination devices, electronic sights, optics, garments, night vision equipment, or holsters.
Note: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and insure your package for safe return so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and/or insure the shipment, then you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused unless if a manufacturer's warranty covers the cost of return to the factory.
Custom Orders: . If you place an order for custom services, that sale is final. If you change your mind on how you want your project, there will be a change fee. That fee is determined by what has to be changed. Please ensure you are ordering exactly what you want BEFORE you finalize your order. There can be no exceptions to this policy as custom work is very specific to you and there is a cost involved to us for any changes you request. That cost will be passed along to you.
It is the buyer's responsibility to know the firearm laws of the local and state government in which you reside. If a firearm is restricted in your area then DO NOT PURCHASE IT! Also, only purchase a firearm if you are not restricted by law from owning, buying, or possessing a firearm. Please refer to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) website to learn what restricts an individual. If you purchase a firearm and cannot take possession of the firearm through the legal transfer process, then there will be a mandatory restocking fee of 25% based on the total amount of the purchase. Additionally, any shipping charges will be withheld from your refund - this includes freight charges to and from the receiving gun store (FFL Dealer). If we cannot verify your receiving FFL Dealer's license within 10 calendar days of your order to authorize shipment, then we will cancel your order and the above restocking fee will apply without exception. We will attempt to reach your FFL Dealer by phone and by email (if available) a maximum of 2 times via each method. If we do not receive their license after these 4 attempts have been made then we will require you to make contact with the FFL Dealer to assist in providing us with their license. You always have the option to change FFL Dealers if they refuse to accept the transfer or they fail to provide their license information to us. However, there is a 10 day allotment for this to be accomplished.
Serialized items that are incorrectly ordered by the customer will incur a 25% restocking fee (this is based on the overall purchase grand total of the item), plus return shipping charges. If you have any questions about an item then please contact us with your questions prior to ordering. We are more than happy to answer all your questions to help you purchase the correct item.
CANCELLING A PURCHASE OF A FIREARM PRIOR TO SHIPMENT TO YOUR LOCAL FFL DEALER: If you decide to cancel your order of a firearm prior to shipment from our store then you will receive a refund, less a 15% restocking fee based on the total amount of the purchase, without exception. Customized firearms cannot be cancelled.
TRACKING INFORMATION: We utilize UPS, FedEx, and USPS for shipping carriers. You will receive an automated tracking number from the shipping carrier, or an email from us - one of the two. Please check you email including your spam folder for this information. If you do not see a tracking email after your item has shipped then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call our store at (419) 371-6744 or (419) 371-6746. Wanting to cancel your order because you cannot find your tracking information, or believing you did not receive tracking information without FIRST emailing or calling us will result in a 25% restocking fee, plus shipping costs.
All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx.
Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures availability or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.
If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect price and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that seller will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.
Standard Transfers:Our transfer fee for receiving/background check is $35.00 (plus tax) for standard non-NFA transfers.
If you are dissatisfied with your online purchase, then it is your responsibility to pay for the return shipping (varies by item) and the return transfer fee ($35.00). We do not inspect the quality, or warrant the condition, of any item not purchased from McDermott Tactical. Your guarantee on the item is only backed by the seller and the manufacturer (if applicable).
Blind Transfers:Q:What is a blind transfer?
A: Any serialized item purchased from another source that is transfered to us without any notification made by the buyer of the item(s). PLEASE NOTE it is not the seller's responsibility to contact the receiving FFL Dealer of the impnding transfer!
We charge a non-negotiable $20 fuel/time surcharge to the $35.00 transfer fee to release an item for which we are not informed of prior to receiving. Please call ahead, email, or stop by and notify us of any transfer coming our way.
AMMUNITION sales are FINAL - Returns cannot be accepted for ammunition.
